State of the Art Kitchen and Café
The Sprout! Is a regional community food hub that operates a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen for people wanting to start a food production business or restaurant. Through the Hatch Business Incubation program, we offer opportunities to qualified food business start-ups and existing food businesses that can benefit from access to a commercial kitchen, retail restaurant space, technical assistance and training, and business advising.
Our shared production kitchen, bakery space, and café/restaurant spaces feature high quality commercial equipment to meet the needs of most food businesses. This includes dry storage, a walk in refrigerator and freezer, linens, front of house staff support, dishware, and brokered catering for Sprout! events. Utilities and onsite trouble shooting help are included.
Business Advising and Workshops
We offer a comprehensive program of food and restaurant business advising as well as general business management advising as part of the incubator program. We supplement our experienced staff advisors with industry experts from the SBDC. Workshops designed specifically for the needs of food businesses are offered and taught by industry professionals. Also, we offer regularly scheduled business management classes that are geared to make you a better business owner.
We help your business every day through our regular schedule of events that bring customers to Sprout!. We promote your business when we talk about our programs at public events and by featuring your business in our on-going social media efforts and e-newsletters. Our year-round indoor Farmers Market at Sprout! is held every Friday and gives you an opportunity to showcase and sell your products. Over 44,000 people visit Sprout! every year.
